Painting solvent-free: since 2001, Kiel-based Vossloh Locomotives GmbH has been using solvent-free paints for the top coat of its locomotive parts. Since then and step by step, more and more series of locomotives and their components are receiving the same treatment.

Production
Europe's biggest diesel locomotive builder: by the end of 2003, Kiel-based Vossloh Locomotives GmbH will have built at least 140 locomotives in this one year. To supplement the existing success series, Vossloh is also working on a newcomer developing some 3,000 kW and scheduled for rollout in 2005.
