Vossloh Kiepe takes another important step in the North American market

Equipment for 127 subway cars in Philadelphia

Düsseldorf-based Vossloh Kiepe GmbH has been awarded the contract to supply new traction systems for 127 subway cars operated by the South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). To be completed by 2008, the order placed by the Philadelphian transit authority is worth a good $ 11 million and underscores Vossloh Kiepe’s ability to assert itself against internationally renowned competitors and further strengthen its position on the North American market.

Over in Vancouver, this Vossloh Group company has handed over to its customer TransLink the first of 228 eco-friendly trolleybuses. In opting for these modern, low-noise vehicles, the Vancouver transit authority is emphasizing the significance of the trolleybus for urban public transportation in this region. All of the new vehicles will have been delivered by mid-2008.
