Dr. Gerhard Eschenröder: "Failure to take over the Pfleiderer unit is not a strategic problem"
"The failure to acquire Pfleiderer Track Systems for antitrust reasons is not a strategic problem for Vossloh," stated Vossloh AG's new CEO, Dr. Gerhard Eschenröder, in Werdohl on Monday. "Given the antitrust situation and the high purchase price negotiated we had meanwhile scouted around for another option to strengthen internationally our infrastructure products by adding sleepers. We are confident of being able to present an efficient concept over the months ahead," announced Eschenröder. At the end of last week, Pfleiderer AG had announced the sale of the sleeper operations to a financial investor. Eschenröder emphasized that the Vossloh Group was looking to profitable growth, with which he intended to impress the investment community.
