This division produces locomotives, (sub)urban trains and electrical components for a wide variety of light rail vehicles (LRVs). It has two business units: Vossloh Locomotives (in Valencia and Kiel) and Vossloh Electrical Systems.
Vossloh Locomotives - Valencia location
Vossloh Locomotives, with its two production plants in Valencia, Spain, and Kiel, Germany, is Europe’s biggest manufacturer of diesel locomotives. It also builds trains for (sub)urban services and provides maintenance and locomotive leasing services.
The
Valencia location develops innovative diesel-electric locomotives such as the EURO 4000, Europe’s most powerful locomotive of this type. Also produced are vehicles for (sub)urban rail services such as the Train Tram.

The
Kiel location develops and builds advanced-technology diesel-hydraulic locomotives fitted with eco-friendly technologies and homologated for operation in a number of European countries. Many of these are also engineered for cross-border interoperability in up to four countries.
