Vossloh Transportation Systems, with its two production plants in Valencia, Spain, and Kiel, Germany, is Europe’s biggest manufacturer of modern diesel locomotives. It also builds trains for (sub)urban services and bogies besides providing maintenance and locomotive leasing services.
The Valencia location develops innovative diesel-electric locomotives such as the EURO 4000, Europe’s most powerful locomotive of this kind. Also developed and produced are metros, (sub)urban trains, light rail vehicles, and train-trams.

The Kiel location develops and builds advanced-technology diesel-hydraulic locomotives fitted with eco-friendly technologies and homologated for operation in numerous European countries. Many of these are also engineered for cross-border interoperability in up to four countries.
