By creating a joint service unit comprising employees from the business units Vossloh Rail Services (Lifecycle Solutions division) and Vossloh Switch Systems (Customized Modules division), Vossloh is responding to the growing demand for railway-related services. These include specific maintenance work on turnout systems, spare parts management and condition-based, customized rail machining. Starting with condition monitoring and data acquisition, through analysis to recommendation and implementation of targeted maintenance measures, Vossloh offers comprehensive services for the condition-based maintenance of conventional railways and urban transport networks.
Jean-Claude Leval and Nils Vögeding, Managing Directors of Vossloh Services France SAS, look forward to their new assignment: "With our integrated offering, we aim to develop service level agreements for the customer-specific maintenance of rails, turnouts and actuation as well as locking devices".
Framework agreements in other European countries, such as the recent win of a two-year framework agreement in Sweden, which includes the grinding of the switches as well as the entire project handling, demonstrate the potential of this growth strategy.
Gérard Thorez, President of the new service company, emphasizes: "In view of the current developments in the field of digitalization, we intensify our in-house competencies. And we create with joint solutions for rail and turnout monitoring real added value for our customers in terms of availability and safety of turnout and track systems at an optimized budget".
The introduction of the MR.pro asset management solution plays an important role in this context. Based on collected data, network operators obtain reliable information on service life and concrete instructions for action to be taken.
The new service company also includes a training center. Here, Vossloh Services France offers training on inspection and maintenance methods as well as on Vossloh’s products or special technical processes.
Vossloh Services France SAS is a tailor-made asset management solution provider, answering the needs of railway networks – today and tomorrow – promising the best track availability possible, safely and with reduced LCC.
