The Vossloh Fastening Systems plant in Kunshan, China, has produced a total of 150 million tension clamps since it went into operation in 2007. The site is part of the company’s global production network and supplies the Chinese market for high-speed lines, conventional rail and heavy haul transport, and urban rail systems.
The Kunshan plant operates according to the same quality standards as Vossloh Fastening Systems worldwide. Production processes range from raw material testing and heat treatment to mechanical and functional testing. With increasing travel speeds and growing demands on infrastructure, the technical requirements for rail fastening systems are also evolving.
“Since production began, there has been continuous investment in the further development of the plant,” says Tobias Lamm, Managing Director of Vossloh Fastening Systems China. “Today’s milestone is the result of stable processes and the dedicated work of our team.”
“The production figures show how we have built up our industrial presence in various markets over the long term,” says Sven Haag, CEO of Vossloh Fastening Systems. “On this basis, we are continuing to work on the automation and digitalization of our processes and on further integration of environmentally relevant aspects into our manufacturing.
