Vossloh in Australia has won the Safety Excellence Award at the 2026 Australia & New Zealand Rail Industry Awards.
The award was presented on 1 September in Sydney, during the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) Annual Dinner.
The Rail Industry Awards recognise projects, companies and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the rail sector in Australia and New Zealand. In the Safety Excellence category, Vossloh Switch Systems Australia came out on top against renowned companies in the industry.
This award recognises the systematic and collective efforts undertaken by Vossloh Switch Systems Australia over several years to sustainably strengthen the safety culture within the company. It is a testament to the teams’ day-to-day commitment to risk prevention and the continuous improvement of health and safety at work.
The trophy was accepted by Thomas Wehrle, Regional Sales Director for Australia, on behalf of Vossloh Switch Systems Australia.
