Vossloh wins another major order for rail fastening systems in China

  • Order volume equivalent to more than €30 million with deliveries beginning in 2022
  • Order win underlines continued strong market position in China

With its Fastening Systems business unit, Vossloh has won another important tender for the supply of rail fastening systems for the construction of a new high-speed line in China. The order volume is equivalent to over €30 million and underlines Vossloh Fastening Systems' strong market position in the high-speed sector in China.

The rail fastening systems are intended for a section of the planned high-speed line between the cities of Guiyang and Nanning in southern China. Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2022. The high-speed line is planned to be taken into operation in 2023.

"We are very pleased that this order win will continue our success story in China, which has been ongoing for over a decade," says Oliver Schuster, Vossloh AG's CEO. With a view to the Vossloh Group's order situation he adds: "This important order win fits seamlessly into our order trend, which has been very encouraging so far this year despite the COVID 19 pandemic, and clearly underlines the above-average crisis resistance of our company and our entire industry.”

Vossloh has been present in China since 2006. Kunshan-based Vossloh Fastening Systems China Co. Ltd. is one of the locally leading suppliers of rail fastening systems, especially for high-speed lines. China has the world's largest and most advanced high-speed rail network, covering more than 30,000 kilometers. The network is to be expanded to over 45,000 kilometers by 2030.
